Who is this experience for?
This experience is perfect for everyone. Whether you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary or looking for a unique day out, Sheep Walking is the perfect mix of cuddles and adventure.
Our Sheep
We have a selection of friendly sheep to choose from when you come for your walk. The first sheep we purchased for sheep trekking were out Jacobs, in 2014 we bought a group of wethers (castrated males) who were destined to become lamb chops. They now live a life of luxury; eating, sleeping and going on walks. The most recent additions to the trekking team are the Ouessant and Valais Blacknose sheep. Ouessant sheep are the worlds smallest naturally occurring sheep. The wonderful Ouessant sheep is a rare breed of heritage sheep originally from the island of Ouessant in Brittany. Each one of our Ouessant is individual and very cheeky! Socks and Patches are Valais Blacknose and are described as the worlds cutest sheep! I think you will agree!
How do I walk a sheep?
Each of our sheep are specially trained to walk on a headcollar. Walking a sheep is often compared to walking a dog. However, many people say that the sheep are easier to walk than their doggies at home, depending on who you choose. Remember to bring your wellies or walking boots as we will be crossing streams and fields.
We have a variety of treks available throughout the year, upcoming treks can be viewed here. However, we only run our Winter Sheep Walks and bespoke treks during September to February.
