Who is this experience for?
This experience is perfect for goat lovers. The goats can be strong so younger children must share a goat with an adult. The goats can be quite cheeky and climb up on you so please remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting muddy.
Our goats
We have a selection of pygmy goats and pygmy goat crosses who join us on our goat walks.
What if it rains?
Unfortunately our goats are fair weather people (like most of us), they do not like getting wet! If the weather forecast is predicting rain we will get in touch via email, you can either choose to join us for an indoor goat experience or we can exchange your experience for a voucher so you can book on another date. Our indoor goat experience involves a mini agility course, goat feeding and cuddles.
Can we share a goat?
Yes! You can share a goat with up to 3 people per goat. This means you can swap and change leaders during the experience. Remember all children under 12 will need to share a goat with an adult and you can purchase the 'Adult and Child' ticket.
Need to Know
-
Please bring wellies or walking shoes, wellies are preferable during wetter months as we will be walking around the farm on potentially muddy terrain and over streams.
-
Our goats are cheeky and do like to climb up so please wear waterproof trousers or clothes that can get dirty.
-
Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Both adults and children will require a ticket. Young children under 12 will share an adult's goat or a goat with an older child and children 3 years and under are free.
-
To ensure the well-being of the goats and the quality of the experience the group sizes are kept small therefore unfortunately we do not allow bystanders on the treks. If you would like to join please purchase a spectator ticket so we can include you in our numbers.
-
The trek is uphill but on reasonable terrain, the goats are laid back and walk at a leisurely pace
-
Please note that there are friendly dogs on the farm. Your own dogs are sadly not welcome for this experience due to the possible stress levels for the goats.
-
The experience is conducted with small groups so early booking is advisable if you have a particular date in mind.
